Jibes awarded 2nd place at Transavia Data Science Hackathon. Transavia is a Dutch Low Cost carrier, subsidiary of KLM and based at Amsterdam Schiphol.
Timing is essential for airliners, with massive impact for passenger experience and operational cost. The airliner invited 20 teams from companies and universities to crack this challenge. Mission to develop a prediction model for boarding times. During the annual event for IBM Business Partners, named ‘Night of the Stars’ we received the award on behalf of Jibes from Monique Coebergh, Director IBM Global Business Partner Organisation IBM BeNeLux.

The award recognises Jibes as a strong, trusted and best-in-class IBM Business Partner which is expressed by the outstanding quality of the Jibes team in general and their leading role in various Watson projects and initiatives in particular. In their response Jibes expressed their appreciation and with this acknowledgement will sustain their specialist focus and the customers centric approach.

Outstanding Cognitive Computing Solution

Orlando, Florida – USA – 2016 – Jibes was named a winner of a 2016 IBM Beacon Award for IBM Watson Outstanding Cognitive Computing Solution. Each year, this honor is awarded to a select number of IBM Business Partners who have delivered exceptional solutions to drive business value and transform the way clients and industries do business in the future. The 2016 awards recognize achievements across a wide-range of solution areas, including IBM Watson, cloud and analytics that are helping to bring clients into the cognitive era.

‘This is a fantastic recognition for both our colleagues and our customers,’ said Paul van der Hulst, Director Jibes Data Analytics. “We built our Competitive Intelligence solution in 2012 as one of our two core offerings (the other being ‘Personal Assistant’) that are based on IBM Watson.
